Nicky Haldenby is a 23 year-old singer-songwriter from Scarborough. Having written songs since he taught himself to play piano at age 13, Nicky has a knack for writing personal piano-led songs with memorable lyrics and undeniably catchy hooks.
His fourth self-produced album, After All This Time, was released in December 2017. Written over the space of two and a half years, and recorded entirely live over two months, the new album is raw, honest and intimate.
“I really wanted to make something that felt a little bit different with this album, and I thought the best way of doing that was to present these songs as they were written. Just me, in my bedroom with my piano. There’s no gimmicks, and it’s not trying to be something it’s not.”
“This album really feels like a diary of my life in the past two and a bit years, like my second album This Is Everything was. I’m really proud of how it captures my life so succinctly.”
The album is available to order on CD from Nicky’s bandcamp store, and can be downloaded and streamed on Apple Music, Spotify and a range of other sites.
